Nick Klein is a UX developer, among other things

Professionally...

I'm the Lead UX Designer + Senior UI Developer at Russian School of Mathematics, one of the top after-school math programs for K-12 student in North America, with dozens of locations across the US & Canada.

My previous work includes:

Principal UX Designer + UI Developer at Ace Ticket, the largest regional ticket broker in the country.

UI Developer at Wanderu, a travel startup which has changed the way people search for and book bus and train tickets in North America and Europe.

UX Developer at Clearsky Data, an enterprise tech startup focused on leveraging the cloud to deliver enterprise storage as a fully managed service.

Lead UI Developer at Daktari Diagnostics, a Gates Foundation-backed biomedical startup which worked to revolutionize the way HIV is treated in sub-Saharan Africa.

UX Development Intern at Vsnap, a Boston-based startup (and MassChallenge finalist) building a B2B video messaging platform.

I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Drew University in 2013.

Personally...

A native Bostonian, I enjoy experimenting with cooking and home bartending in my free time, and am constantly on the hunt for new music. I also dabble in amateur photography and have a passion for repairing vintage camera lenses, and adapting them for use on my modern mirrorless camera.

I created and continue to maintain Aperturepedia, an online resource which catalogs comprehensive data on various vintage first-party SLR lenses in one easy-to-reference UI.

An Eagle Scout, I've travelled to New Orleans twice to help rebuild homes after Katrina. I also kickstarted Drew University's disaster relief efforts after Hurricane Sandy, and have led several rebuilding teams to Staten Island.

A former college radio DJ, I also served on the executive board of WMNJ, Drew University's radio station, as Program Manager and Station Engineer.

I design & build things...

And here's an example of my work. I designed and wrote this site from scratch, ensuring strict compliance to HTML and CSS standards. The typeface used is Open Sans.

All photos were taken by me. The lead photo is of Smith Cove in Gloucester, Massachusetts, and is intended as a nod to Robert Adams. The second photo was taken from a friend's rooftop in Charlestown, Massachusetts.

This website is open-source, feel free to check out the code on Github.
